Oh well 1 lb on for me this week - rubbish, I have been eaten rubbish (when I have been eating!) missed meals and therefore gained, hmph.
No WI next week as we are doing Race for life but might find a meeting to go to - undecided, think I will be a bit of a chancer if I dont go and will end up eating rubbish this week then try to claw back so prob best to find a meeting!! lol talked myself into it now!
Anywho - need to lose 4lb now to be under 20st!! Eeeek, that'll be a very good day!

My strongly worded letter of complaint...
Thanks for your kind words regarding the loss of my cat Domino - I thought I would share my complaint letter that I am about to send to my Pet insurance company regarding there involvement in Dominos demise;
To whom it may concern;
I am writing to complain about the level of service I have received regarding my Pet insurance.
Due to your farcical underwriting procedures we have been forced to euthanize out cat Domino at the young age of just 2 years old. I find it unfathomable that you were unable to provide a service to enable him to carry on his life due to an illness that you classed as a “pre-existing medical condition” – his condition WAS NOT pre-existing but apparently because it was connected to the same region in his body it is so classed.
Domino was seen by the vet in August 2008 for a bacterial infection in his bladder, at the time the vets checked for crystals in his system, which if they had found some would then be classed as pre-existing but they didn’t, they treated and retested and he was in the clear.
Our policy began in December of 2008 so we did not disclose the information as it was only bacterial. When we admitted him into emergency care on Tuesday 2nd June they diagnosed him with a blockage in his penis and they would do their best to treat medically and try to avoid surgery but they were concerned about whether you would cover the claim. On Wednesday morning we had a call from our vet to say that there was nothing they could do medically so would have to go for surgery – as soon as 9am came around I called your claims line to ensure you would cover the claim, only to be told no?
I have 2 statements that you use to help you advertise your policies that I would like you to clarify.
1 . “Cats and dogs make wonderfully loving pets (although feline friends are more likely to need some personal space). It’s only fair that you therefore make sure you do everything you can to keep them in good health.” – Yes they are indeed wonderfully loving pets – Do you actually care though? If you did care about the fact that you hold the lives of living animals in your hands, why would you not endeavour to listen to the full background of the medical history and ensure that you can let a living creature live as long as possible?
2. “Any claim that is in any way connected with a pre-existing condition” So, the term “in any way” is a very loose connection – this implies that basically you will try to avoid paying out a claim in any eventuality - our claim was not connected but with your wording “in any way”, what way is a bacterial infection connected to Cystitis please?
If you refer to number 1 query please – you are quiet simply playing God, you have the power to decide whether an animal lives or dies, in the current economic climate, I would have thought that you would show leniency towards perfectly responsible pet owners who, as we have, made sure we are able to afford to keep our pets covered and ensure that we give them the best possible lives, but this does literally mean nothing when you have such restrictive underwriting procedures.
I’m not an imbecile, I understand that you are a business and that you have to make money, I actually used to work for yourselves selling your Tesco (and other associated company products) you trained you to believe that you were a fair and reasonable company, but when I spoke to your claims handler there was no grey area, just a definite no and as I have stated above has now resulted in our cat to be euthanized, so the situation is now, I am without a pet and without £677 - which was the cost of keep Domino alive until we could find out if yourselves would cover to pay for the life saving surgery.
I quite frankly feel robbed – normally you have a pet or money in your pocket but I have no pet and I have no money either, how can a normal working household afford to pay in excess of £2000 to keep a pet alive and more to the point why should they have to consider such money when they pay for insurance?
I would appreciate a response to my queries and a justification of how you conduct your claims procedures, as I mentioned above I did used to work for yourselves and I am perfectly aware of my rights as an insurance consumer – should I not receive a response to my complaint I will be referring this correspondence to the FOS.

And the bad news returns....
One of our cats Domino has sadly been put to sleep today, a very sad day. We thought he was constipated as he was straining to go to the toilet, we took him to the vets as he was very out of soughts and he was diagnosed with a blockage in his penis, unfortunately he had cystitus in August and we were told at the time that it was a bacterial infection so we didnt inform the insurance company, now the insurance company are saying that it is a pre-existing medical condition and refused to pay for the surgery to make him better - but even the opertation coud lead to further problems and without complications would cost £2k but then if there were any complication....
Well we made the almost impossible decision of putting him to sleep.
Very blue so good WW wise - only eaten 1/2 a ham sandwich and a toasted t-cake, just cannot face anything!
RIP baby Domino, we love you lots and you will always be in our hearts xXx

Going on holiday!!
For the 1st time in 3yrs Dave and I are going on holiday together - I went to Kenya with my sister (as she was splitting with my BIL) in Oct but before that Dave and I had been to Spain in 2006!!
Still a little worried about people having a pop at me but surely I cannot be expected to say housebound for the rest of my fat years?? But lost another 3lb this week so only 3lb away from being under 20st!!! Hopefully I will lose another 2st by September? Fingers crossed...
I have handed my notice in as clerk - we have a temp leader at the mo until a new leader comes through the system but money keeps going astry and I just know she is suspicious of me and Carol (Aunty who clerks @ WW too) and I just do not need the hassle, yes I don't have to pay to WI but to be honest I could really do without the getting up on a Sunday morning and grafting unloading & loading all the clobber and spending 3hrs of my Sunday for the sake of WI money! Sunday could also be my only day off soon if work carries on in the same way, think I will have to do Saturdays to keep on top of everything! Thankfully Dave is back in work now so I'm gonna find a weekday class that I can go to after work and do the monthly pass - also supposed to get e-source for being a clerk and I cannot get any leader to sort it out so at least I will have full access!!
Anyway - not been too bad points wise, a few over yesterday and today but I reckon I can claw them back ok!?

Some good news
For a ruddy change - Dave has passed his CSCS card so can get back into the building trade should he wish to and he has also had confirmation of his tax rebate!! Good times but then the talk of holidays has come up.....good times?? Erm no, I really don't know if I wanna go through all of people staring at me at the airport, asking for a seatbelt extension, being uncomfortable in the seat, being grumpy because of all of the above - then people staring while on hol itself, getting picked on on nights out..... the list is endless and I just wonder if I am just being selfish or trying to protect my Dave from the embarrasment of it all, he must be able to tell when people are staring and talking about me, I know so surely he does, it must be horrid for him... Might just tag along on the hol that my mum and aunty are going on to Spain (safety in numbers!)
Not been too bad points wise, again not the healthiest but at least it is within points;

WI Day!!
Wohooo, 3 lbs off - finally got to my 2st!! Yeah.
Done nothing other than go to WW this morning, tried to sit out in the sun for a while earlier, feels like I waste it when I don't get out in it, managed reading outside for 40mins! Rubbish, cannot do anything on my own, get too bored!! Dave is obv watching all the football on today!
WW wise been fairly good; Ended counting too many points for my lollies last night so had 28/29 instead of the 295/29 that I suspected!
Today I have had;
Post WI - 2 toasted fruit t-cakes - 7 inc spread
S - 2pks of french fries - 2pts
D - Quiche 7, new pots 2 & sweetcorn 1 - 10pts
19/29 so far, perhaps I can hear the choc sponge calling from the freezer!?!?
